While in town, Damon will conduct a student workshop called Bigness in TX/Austin City Limits on the densification of Austin’s downtown and the annexation at its periphery. Lofty Pursuits at Artists Space

As part of “On Being An Exhibition,” a group exhibition at Artists Space that explored the reciprocal relationship between artists and the infrastructure of the art space, The Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) staged a conversation between urbanist and sociologist Sharon Zukin and real estate developer Jed Walentas, vice-president of Two Trees. On Saturday February 16th, Artists Space curator Joseph del Pesco will host a follow-up conversation with CUP’s Rosten Woo with screenings of documentation from the “Lofty Pursuits” event. Food Groups: a live talk show with Amy Franceschini and Michael Hurwitz

CUP is pleased to present two major food groups in a conversation about urban agriculture. The live talk show will feature Amy Franceschini, founder of the San Francisco-based design collective Futurefarmers, and Michael Hurwitz, director of New York’s Greenmarket program.
